REFLECTION 1

SUCCESS AND FAILURE MOMENT IN SECONDARY SCHOOL.

On our first lecture, we were having an ice-breaking session which is include all of student who take this course and also my lecturer, Mr. David Lumbok. I am very curious about how this subject would lead us for having a better understanding and evaluation about students performance. Our lecturer briefly explain to us on how to produce and used appropriate assessment for each level of children ages.

Picture above was our class activity and count as a participant in course. We were told to picture our success and failure moment in secondary school and do 'gallery walk' which is walking around while showing the drawing to the entire class. Picture  above was my drawing, it was not complete yet because I am not too good in art but it is does not even bother as long as our lecturer and my course-mate understand on what am I trying to express.

My reflection about this class activity was, our lecturer is trying to bring us to another level of learning which is sharing some of experience of failure and how did we bring our oneself towards today's success. In addition, assessment is a continuous process which is we need to seek for variety of ways to improve current knowledge and approaches to the teaching and learning process. Furthermore, we did learn from previous mistake. By sharing an experience with the entire classes, we would help another people to avoid the wrong things we have done previously.

  1. based on what i read and see here i think you have talent to draw and this is the one teaching skills to get the children's attraction in their learning, and about sharing our experience about our education background to others it is good because automatically we give our friends motivation that we should never give up if we want to success, right? hehe
